Abstract
As distributed system has grown in size and complexity, the existing single node failure of system are confronting some serious challenges. Standby system has become infrastructure, which constructs high performance distributed system. The quality of service (QoS) that offers for users will be affected by dependability at large. The application of stochastic Petri net (SPN) on standby system dependability analysis and analysis of stochastic Petri net is discussed. Based on the model analyzing, different dependable parameters of the standby system are given out, and then the model is simulated with an instance. The simulation results show that the dependability of standby system model will change in the different condition. It will provide evidence for user to take which kind of standby system as fault system properly.
