Abstract :
Due to increment yarn usage in loop pile forming and the yarn feeding path length change in needle bar transverse shifting, the tufting process would form the stop mark liked gap on the carpet. Previous study set up the mathematical model of length change of yarn feeding in path and usage of loop pile forming while needle bar shifting. This paper intends to propose the implement of previous algorithm on the servo-clutch based tufting carpet machine with cam based transverse mechanism. Base on the jacquard control logic and yarn compensation mathematical model, implement the half-period yarn feed compensation on the tufting carpet machine. According to mathematical model calculate the additional yarn feeding requirement, dynamic control of servo motor to drive the yarn feed roller to delivery additional length yarn, and produce the loop pile with predefined pile height.
