Abstract :
The designed dielectric resonators filter (DRF) with two dielectric resonators (DRs) placed inside a resonant cavity, cascaded photonic-bandgap (PBG) structure is described. The PBG structure is essentially periodic perforation on ground plane to provide an effective and flexible control of electromagnetic waves along specific direction. The PBG structure with the 50 Ω microstrip line exhibit the perturbation of electromagnetic waves to bring about stop-band character. The spurious resonances of the DRF way be effective suppressed with this structure and high quality DRF is attainable.
