Abstract :
We propose a new digital filter for extracting shape information in images. The filter operates on pixels lying along the circumference of a circle parameterized by a radius. As the filer convolves with the image, certain statistical properties are calculated and remapped hack into the original image. The application of the filter is demonstrated in digital X-ray mammograms for enhanced visualization of spiculated lesions
