Abstract :
This study is focused on the visual analysis of two-dimensional - static and dynamic - echocardiograms where the goal is to detect the edges of the ventricles and to follow their motion. Human experts rely on information from spatial and time domain. The purpose was to develop a new method on improving the quality of the images and to obtain useful (in medical terms) information, such as shapes, areas, dimensions, but also dynamics of certain regions
