Abstract :
It is shown that backscattering of an ultrasound signal in tissue can be modeled by a power-law function with a scaling exponent γ. Experimental results have yielded evidence of the power-law property of scattering. This scaling signature suggests the complexity of the underlying ultrasound and tissue interaction
