Abstract :
Point to point radio link is being increasingly deployed because of the radio expansion of the commercial wireless services. Providers of wireless services continue to demand systems with higher data rates and higher carrier frequency. In order to fulfil the demand unlicensed mm-wave bands have been investigated for fixed point-to-point outdoor radio applications. A single link system is first analyzed in this paper, with respect to link distance (distance between transmitter and receiver) and bit error rate (BER) for specific link availability requirements on a given geographical location. In order to investigate interference between the links, a two-link scenario is considered. A simulation tool has been developed to analysis the scenarios. It is expected that these scenarios will help to implement the mm-wave point to point communication system in outdoor environment.
