  • Abstract
A utilities approach to the security requirement for the high-voltage power supply of cement plants is presented. Attention is given to the economics connected with limiting power interruptions to a minimum by better maintenance coordination between the customer and the utility company. The topics covered are a general description of the distribution system, the customer protection, the line and sectionalizing configurations, and the main electrical characteristics of the equipment. The utility/user interface before supplying electricity, during initial start-up, and after initial test is described.<>
