Abstract :
This paper addresses a management agent for an OSGi-based healthcare application. For a distribution and administration of the OSGi-based healthcare application running on the portable information terminal, we need a management agent supporting dynamic deployment of component, control of component´s life cycle, adjustment of application´s configuration, deployment of user profile for personalized service and etc. To support these requirements, we define XML-based descriptor and use it as control message. We also define and use SMS-based callback URL for initiating network connection. The object of this paper is providing methodology which can distribute/manage the various applications dynamically and resolve the network connection problem while we use a private IP address in the portable information terminal. This object is implemented as a management agent and SMS-based connection initialization.
