Abstract :
This paper outlines the design, construction and operation of the test facility. Its philosophy is primarily described with reference to the hardware based load emulator rig. A discussion of the global control structure designed to operate both the hardware and software tools is provided. The target mechanical load is a passenger lift and the paper outlines the mechanical characteristics of this application. Finally practical results for the hardware test facility show it is now fully operational
