Abstract :
An observation method for mathematical graphology is proposed. The motivation of mathematical graphology is to realize graphological information processing on a machine. Furthermore, mathematical graphology aims to construct a new information theory for visual communication. In order to construct the mathematical model this paper focuses on the observation process, which is the first stage in the model. Based on the physiological saccade phenomena, feature points are extracted which include the important information. Then, contours between adjacent feature points are approximated using smooth functions. The performance of the proposed method is verified by experiments
