Abstract :
There are approaches proposed to guarantee seamless QoS for mobile Internet with RSVP. However, those approaches still remain some issues on video streaming which cause QoS degradation because of the lack of a feedback control mechanism depending on network bandwidth. In this paper, we propose a solution for the issues by using the feedback control mechanism of RTP and RTCP through an actual implementation of a mobile reservation protocol. We also describe actual performance results other than simulation which was performed to prove the outcome carried out by those existing RSVP-related handoff mechanisms in mobile IP network environment. The experimental results demonstrate the proposed scheme can improve the quality of streamed video on the mobile device in the mobile Internet.
