Abstract :
We investigated a data broadcast method suitable for sending HTML documents with shared files. These documents often share the same files as their hyperlink destination. If such HTML documents are transferred individually, the same files are broadcast several times and this reduces the efficiency of transmission. We propose a method by which the shared files are broadcast only once and the waiting time of clients for HTML documents is minimized. We conducted a feasibility study on the application of proposed method by using HTML documents from public Web sites that provide disaster information on the Internet.
