Abstract
In this work the technique of longitudinal diaphragms is applied to MWT design based on four-ridge rectangular waveguides. The physical basis of mode transformation is discussed, the process of transformation of one propagating mode of the waveguide to another on different steps of the device is illustrated. The geometry of designed devices, pictures of electromagnetic waves distribution on transformer length and S-parameters, which are demonstrating wide bandwidth and good transformation efficiency, are shown.
