Abstract
System safety engineering is the application of scientific and systems engineering methodology and management techniques to minimize risk in a product. Software safety is the extension of that discipline into software. The author intends to acquaint people with software safety engineering and call upon computer security engineers to call out those design and analysis techniques which might assist in doing the job better
