The Midwest ISO (MISO) started to operate a day ahead, real time and financial transmission rights (FTR) market from April 1, 2005. This presentation will address the following issues: physical and financial impacts of the new MISO energy market on the generation fleet and demand, challenges in a combined retail and wholesale environment and future MISO market changes/enhancements
