Abstract :
We present a new vision-based side-collision awareness method that allows the entire computation of time-to-collision estimates and hence the collision threat measure to be performed in the image domain, thus making it simple and intuitive. Simulations are performed on several test scenarios to measure the efficacy of the new collision awareness scheme.
