  • Abstract
A method based on a composite cylindrical dielectric resonator (DR) to characterize the dielectric permittivity and losses in the microwave range of a ferroelectrics and relaxors is developed and set up. Resonance frequencies and Q-factors of the TE011 mode and TE021 mode of the composite DR versus dielectric loss of the sample with different permittivity is studied. Temperature dependences of the dielectric permittivity and loss of ferroelectric Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ceramics with coarse and fine grains and of relaxor ceramics PMN and Ba2La0.5Nd0.5Ti2Nb3O15 at high frequencies and microwaves are measured.
