Abstract :
A polarisation insensitive narrow band filter with large tuning range of about 20 nm based on InP technology is reported for the first time. A record low insertion loss of 2.5 dB and a through suppression at the centre wavelength of 20 dB has been achieved. We present a polarisation insensitive narrow band dropping filter with a large tuning range. The filter device is a meander-type codirectional coupler, fabricated in GaInAsP-InP
