Abstract :
An ultra-compact polarisation independent 8×8 PHASAR demultiplexer is presented. Device size is 650×750 μm2 . The waveguide structure in which it has been realised is suitable for integration with electro-optical switches for application in integrated OXCs, on-chip losses are less than 7 dB and crosstalk is better than -17 dB
