Abstract :
We propose an adaptive transmit antennas selection and transmit power allocation scheme for Vertical-Bell Laboratories Layered Space-Time system in the presence of channel state information imperfection. At the transmitter, based on imperfect channel state information, the proposed scheme is used to select a subset of transmit antennas and allocate proper power for the selected antennas subjected to the total transmit power constraint. At the receiver the modified minimum mean square error detector which takes into account the error of channel estimation is used to remove the co-antenna interference in order to improve bit error rate performance further. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can improve bit error rate performance significantly.
