The TeleMedicine in GastroEnterology (TMGE) project is presented. It intends to fulfill a significant cluster of needs, which have not been addressed despite their importance in the practice of gastroenterology. An Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), distributed databases, intranet, multimedia platform is proposed. Image sequences manipulation and diagnostic information are supported as a unit
