Abstract :
This paper evaluates the degradations introduced to the digital component of D2-MAC signals by distortions due to short echoes in cable networks. The use of a Viterbi decoder or a standard equalization technique is suggested to gain an improvement of performance with respect to a single threshold decoder.<>
