Abstract :
Dense WDM passive optical networks are attractive architectures for the implementation of optical fibres in the access network. For this, we have investigated the use of a single semiconductor laser amplifier/reflector at the subscriber unit in order to avoid the generation of a specific wavelength. In this paper, the reflection-mode operation has been demonstrated in a transmission experiment at 155 Mb/s
