  • Abstract
    We show computationally and experimentally that resonances in the received signal variance can occur in WDM transmission systems as channel separation is varied. The resonances are related to periodic gain along the optical path and distribution in dispersion. To our knowledge this is the fist measurement of this effect in a long-haul transmission experiment
