Abstract :
In this paper, we propose efficient symbol timing synchronization algorithms for IEEE 802.11a/g wireless LAN systems in multipath channels. The algorithms utilize an elongated training symbol together with soft-limiting of the correlator output and estimate the position of the first arriving path.
