Abstract :
The first phase-diversity coherent demodulation of a 2.97-Gbps optical differential quadriphase-phase-shift-keyed (DQPSK) signal has been demonstrated. An excellent bit error rate of 10-11 was achieved at -27 dBm of the the received signal power
