  • Abstract
Steady state pulse propagation on a fiber consisting of alternating positively and negatively dispersive fiber segments is possible in the regime of net positive dispersion. The mechanisms responsible for their existence are explained by an analytic theory and numerical simulations confirming the theory are presented
