Abstract :
Noise characteristics of single-mode oxide-confined vertical cavity surface emitting laser diodes are investigated in single-mode and multi-mode 3 Gb/s fiber links. Data transmission in the coherence collapse regime under -19 dB optical feedback shows negligible bit error rate degradation
