Abstract :
We propose and demonstrate a free-space micromachined optical crossconnect whose integrated mirrors and beam-splitters provide the critical restoration function of bridging. The general approach offers such advanced functions as bridging via low-loss integrated micro-optics, and thus holds promise of scalability to high port-count
