Abstract :
Under dynamic and heterogeneous environment, the need for adaptability and timeliness to information service systems has become increasingly important. In order to cope with the continuously changing conditions of service provision and utilization, Faded Information Field (FIF) which is a agent-based distributed information service system architecture has been proposed. In this paper, the trade-off relationship between the cost of information allocation performed by push mobile agents and the cost of the access to the information performed by pull mobile agents is clarified. Based on this analysis, the technology for FIF design is proposed to resolve the competing requirements between users and providers to improve access time. The effectiveness of the proposed technology is proved by the simulation and comparison with the conventional systems.
