Abstract :
This paper analyzed the basic principles of biological immunology, immune pathology and the metaphor mechanisms of biological immune system considering its application into artificial immune systems. Then an algorithm for optimizing measure parameters in intrusion analyzing based on evolutionary algorithm (EA) is designed. As to the security threats and weakness arising from the transfer of disease-causing mechanisms of immune pathology into immune IDS, an improved immune intrusion analysis engine based on evolutionary algorithm and artificial immunity is presented. The scheme precludes the security threats by utilizing the useful metaphor mechanisms of biological immune system and the superior characteristics of evolutionary algorithm. Then the following analyses and comparison with other analysis engines further prove its adaptability, stability, robustness against attacks and considerable improvement on application efficiency. Therefore, the scheme is most applicable to such software and hardware environment as with restricted computation ability and integrated space yet requiring for high-speed operation.
