  • Abstract
    We report the first system demonstration of dispersion compensation using mid-span spectral inversion without frequency shift. By a two-pump four wave mixing (FWM) scheme, we achieve 120-km penalty-free transmission at 2.5 Gbit/s over standard single-mode fiber using a directly modulated DFB source.
