Abstract :
This paper proposes a noise-reduction method to improve the channel-estimation performance in DVB-T receivers. Pilot-insertion type approximation and pilot-block averaging are employed to reduce noise effect. Computer simulation shows that the proposed method improves the estimation performance by more than 1 dB in terms of the SER after equalization
