  • Abstract
    The use of a nonlinearity tolerant dispersion compensation scheme (NTDCS) is shown at a bitrate of 40 Gbit/s for RZ and NRZ transmission using non zero dispersion shifted fiber (NZ-DSF) and standard single mode fiber (SMF). The eye opening performance is optimized by NTDCS for both transmission formats and fiber types
