Abstract :
All-optical techniques to perform various functions relevant to fiber communication systems including time multi- and demultiplexing, phase-conjugation, parametric amplification, and clock generation/recovery, by exploiting fiber nonlinearities will be discussed. Scientific and technological challenges will also briefly be addressed
