Abstract
In this paper we present a 1-V low supply voltage CMOS VCO; it not only can increase the turning range of the VCO but also can decrease the phase noise. The proposed VCO achieves a phase noise of -116.73 dBc/Hz at the offset frequency of 1 MHz, respectively. The tuning range of 1 GHz is achieved with the control voltage from 0.25 V to 0.85 V. It can also be used in the receiver for the IEEE 802.11a
