Abstract
The most significant renewable energy resource in the entire world is wind energy. It is experiencing a huge growth due to advanced technology. The paper describes impact of the wind power plants on the reactive power and voltage control on the Romanian transmission network and shows different real cases from Dobrogea area. The control is focused on the south-east area of the country, because here a large amount of power was installed in wind power plants.
