Abstract :
We describe a specially designed “imaging insert”, placed into the cornea of enucleated human eyes, which allows acquisition of high quality Heidelberg retinal tomograph images of the optic nerve head (ONH) under well-controlled intraocular pressure (IOP) conditions. This novel experimental approach provides a powerful technique for correlating acute IOP-induced ONH deformation with the structure of the underlying lamina cribrosa (LC)
