  • Abstract
Except for simulating vehicle performances for the final purpose of product development, the other function of driving simulator is used to provide more detail guidance for making transportation laws, re-show happened accidents and to provide an auxiliary analysis for the accident responsibility. In order to make driving simulator perfect to simulate different conditions especially for collision accident, a vehicle collision dynamics model is embedded into the driving simulator. Collision force is described as a nonlinear spring-damp, which can simulate collision condition accurately. Parameters of modules, including collision, driver, vehicle and scene system, are communicated successfully. According to simulation results, the real driving feel and simulation fidelity are improved.
