  • Abstract
    This paper presents an intelligent alarm processor based on an innovative method which provides a fast and deterministic analysis of events. The principle combines recognition of temporal sequence of alarms and model-based reasoning. The "chronicle" formalism is used to represent the possible situations which may occur in the power system. This method has been implemented in the alarm system of AREVA T&D and has been ordered for several EMS/DMS worldwide
