Abstract :
We propose an adaptive array receiver with decision feedback fading envelope estimation. To control an adaptive array with an MMSE criterion algorithm, a reference signal is required. However, if the accuracy of the estimated fading envelope is poor, the reference for the adaptive algorithm will also be poor. Introducing decision feedback fading envelope estimation provides a better fading envelope estimation and a better reference for the adaptive algorithm, which improves the performance of an adaptive array. This paper evaluates the improvement of the performance of an adaptive array receiver when a decision feedback fading envelope estimation is used
