Abstract :
The variation of transmission line thermal rating is playing an increasingly important role in operation and planning of transmission grid. Study of thermal rating variation is an emerging body of methods for the systematic characterization of thermal rating uncertainty. The key element of thermal rating variability is wind speed. This study can help utility companies use their transmission capabilities while taking manageable risks
