Abstract :
A novel iterative multiuser receiver is proposed for code-division multiple-access mobile communication systems. The receiver performs multiuser detection, channel decoding and feedback in each pass of the iterative process. The feedback of the previous data estimates is utilized as the improved initial estimates for the next iteration. Finally, two alternative multiuser detection algorithms (parallel interference cancellation based multiuser detection and our new approach) are simulated in the proposed iterative multiuser receiver. The simulated bit error probability are presented and compared with a conventional scheme in Rayleigh fading channels
