Abstract :
Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor is a good option for electric vehicle application due to its power to weight ratio and efficiency. While knowledge about this motor is mature enough and has been widely available, to have further research and development and also to create our own BLDC control system product, a good research platform is required. In this paper, a simple platform based on 16-bit microcontroller to control BLDC motor is presented. The main intention is to have platform which is suitable for educational purpose and save for research. Controller working principle and performance is presented. It will be shown that good performance and safety could be achieved.
