Abstract :
Hybrid automatic repeat request (ARQ) combined with the convolutional code is considered, and it is shown how one can realize reliable transmission near the computational cutoff rate. Particular attention is given to a hybrid ARQ and burst trapping scheme for error detection. Some results of simulation over the additive white Gaussian noise channel are presented
