Abstract
This paper describes a method for identifying gas-filled discontinuity flow. The method is based on the effect of phase reversal of the reflected wave in falling onto the boundary of two media. A critical factor is the determination of the phase difference between two waves reflected from discontinuity. Simplified block diagrams of the unit reception and radiating sections of the phase method can be obtained to identify the kind of defect.
