Abstract :
The vital problem of grid community today is to cater the metadata information of Grid services and to exploit it for the automatic processing. Now-a-days describing and associating information to the services is accomplished by using ontology languages. The grid services are growing and the information of services need to be highly expressive, for that purpose the wide use of grid services results in the need for a scalable and fault tolerant semantic grid registry. The services are useful only if registered by service providers and discovered by the consumers. Our proposed scalable and fault-tolerant semantic grid registry provides semantically enriched services to be registered and discovered as well as handling the growth of the registry and the self healing in a semantic DHT based overlay network. It facilitates the service providers to register their services and the consumers to discover and subscribe for the grid services semantically. The semantic grid registry is highly scalable and fault-tolerant exploiting the DHTs (distributed hash table) by managing massive number of users and decentralizing the semantic information. Semantic grid registry can be used to publish and discover any type of grid services.
