Abstract
Although the recent adoption of the NICAM 728 multichannel digital sound system as a European standard allows a new dimension to be added to TV sets, realization of the most cost-effective circuitry requires a high degree of integration. This presentation describes a system in which all the NICAM receiver functions are partitioned into two dedicated ICs.<>
