Abstract :
Two image processing parallel structures are presented. They are both linearly organized. The first one only works in single-instruction multiple-data (SIMD) mode but provides addressing facilities. It has been operational since March 1990 and will be commercially available by the end of 1992. The second one may run in both SIMD and multiple-instruction multiple-data (MIMD) modes, providing more flexibility and better performances for those algorithms that take advantage of MIMD mode. A prototype is currently being developed
